Taking a Creative Break from the Chaos
Taking a creative break from chaos is essential for replenishing the mind and soul. In the midst of constant noise, pressure, and responsibilities, it can feel like creativity is being suffocated by the chaos around us. Stepping away, even for a brief moment, allows space for clarity to emerge. This break is not about avoiding challenges, but about creating distance to refresh perspective, calm the mind, and let inspiration flow naturally again. In these moments of stillness, ideas often bubble up organically, revealing solutions or paths we couldn’t see while immersed in the storm. Embracing a pause in the chaos nurtures creativity and ensures that when we return, we’re not just functioning, but thriving.
Out Door Breaks
Waking up at a campground in the early morning with a cup of coffee watching the squirels and rustling leaves on the trees is so peacefull. I forget about the work on my desk, politices and the chaos of life. It is Labor Day weekend and we are enjoying one of the last camping trips of 2024. The campground we stay at is close to home but far enough away to get some much needed down time. That is one way I take a break from Chaos.

My Creative break
How do you take a break from the chaos? I sit and write be it on my blog or journal but the most benefical break is when I am in my craft room. Making things with my Cricut is so relaxing I can spend most of the day just making things. Recently, I made this wreath using a Cricut pattern from another contributor and added my own flare. The wallet I did the same thing with using a simple pattern wallet and added a back pocket for my drivers license. I am now trying to think of ways to improve the design. For one things I think I will use a little heavier faux leather and use velcro for the closure. That is what I love about crafting your ideas can spark other crafts and ideas!
Unwinding the Brain
My ideal day is madeup by getting up around 5:00 am enjoying a cup of coffee in the silence of the morning and watching the birds out my kitchen window. Then after making breakfast for the family I go into my office/craft room and create for a couple of hours. Then I would get some fresh air outside doing a little yard work and have my lunch on the deck. Next, perhaps I would bake something delicious for the evening. Then I would make a hearty supper for the family while I have a glass wine and enjoy the cooking perhpas with some 80s music in the background. Then ending the day with a good murder mystery movie on Britbox.
By reading this blog you just took a break from Chaos.
